Off The Vine has a Full (Private) Bar hiding right next door! The Cellar is our Tasting venue and allows us to stock Whiskey, Beer & Wine for On Premise-only sale & service! Unfortunately while we can sell Beer & Wine to go, we cannot sell bottles of Spirits to go, but we can help you find places to purchase spirits close by!

Luckily too, we know a man that just loves talking about all things Whiskey who enjoys gathering new selections to try, and then having guests come join him for a Tasting & Chat. Guests do the tasting and Marius (Holly’s husband) does most of the chatting…

Tasting Formats

We approach Tasting a little different than a brand, we’re not here to convince you to buy it, but we really enjoy giving you to tools to taste the product, using Riedel glass for Wines & Beer, NEAT & GLENCAIRNS for Whiskies, taking our time to savor, finding out why it tastes the way it does, so when you are selecting products to buy you know what you like, and more importantly, don’t like!

TASTING is different that Dinking
- We Drink for fun and Taste to Learn – Not that learning isnt fun too!
PALATE building
- Tasting a selection side by side enhances your memory and the variances between expressions
PRACTICAL steps
- Senses work better if you are at ease, its not a torture session, it shouldn’t hurt!
PLEASURE helps
- Positive reinforcement encourages more engagement, the more you do, the more that works!

Marius began in the Bar & Restaurant trade as an Apprentice Barman in Dublin, that began a career of 40 years, including opening Trinity Hall Irish Pub & Restaurant in Dallas for twenty of them with hotel & club operations around the country in between that.

Their Pub in Dallas carried the largest list of whiskey in DFW for many years. Marius’ tastings were legendary, all sorts of Whiskey luminaries stopping in to show off the best stuff. A misspent youth that he will happily relate to you as he describes the characters, the places and of course, the stupendous whiskies!

We speak to the opportunity of tasting whiskey as a treat, perhaps an anniversary, birthday, retirement or vacation day on Main Street, and it should be enjoyed with the same reverence of a glass of decanted wine, allowing the aromas and flavors, opened, ethanol avoided, cracked and savored, connecting the time, the place, the company around and the magnificent tastes to connect emotionally in your brain!

Is the CELLAR available for Private Party?

When not committed for an Off The Vine event, the Cellar is a great location for small group, social & corporate events up to 30 guests. Offering a full bar, catering kitchen and all the glassware that might be needed to host a private tasting, champagne brunch, reception or meal, we would delighted to offer a proposal that will include everything to make your event amazing!!
