Holly Donnelly, OTV’s proprietopr is celebrating her 28th year with Off The Vine Wineshop & Cellar. Holly came to buy a gift, and accepted a job, kicked off her second career, and then later, ownership of this shop!

OTV wineshop is 34+years young & building its reputation for friendly service, and a knowledgeable staff that really does love Wine. Together they curate a global selection, personal tasting notes, and are delighted to assist customers at all stages of their wine journey.

  A bottle of wine and some glasses help create conversation, sharing and connecting with others. Enjoying a meal with a glass of wine adds another layer of taste & flavor.  Sharing our tasting experiences enhances the wine, the time and our memories of it all!

Holly Donnelly Owner of Off The Vine WineshopGreat timing brought Holly to visit OTV in the same week that Becky was taking over from the shop’s founder Wendy Betka.

   Holly had stopped in and the three started chatting about wines they liked and wineries they had visited. Holly had previously lived in Berkeley, CA and was a regular visitor to wine country close by! So, the stars aligned and before leaving the shop Holly had accepted a part time job, and a couple of bottles to celebrate her new adventure with husband Marius!

  Off The Vine has a separate “Tasting & Events” space right next door, we call The Cellar! We schedule all of our weekly tastings here, and when not busy with that, it is available for small group meetings, events & trade tastings to.

   Our Tastings are social in nature, generally two hours, six wines with light charcuterie & snacks, each one will focus on Wines, Whiskies or Beers, and occasionally even a little of both! (Ask about our Bubbles N Barrels event!)

We do a deep dive in to a specific producer, region, style or brand, comparing & contrasting tastes from throughout the world. Tickets for these public events can be purchased online, click here to open a tab with our Events page! 

Off The Vine is a favorite for speakers that join us regularly to lead tastings, specialists in specific countries & regions, winegrowers makers and whiskey masters, visiting Texas will many times start or end right here before catching flights at DFW minutes from Grapevine. 

The space is conversation friendly so most of our discussions are table side rather than, allowing speakers to adapt to each guest’s knowledge, inquiries and interests.

We Learn Wine By Tasting!

            Our shop’s monthly wine club is different than most, in that you get to taste all the levels and then make your selection for the month, which means you know what’s in the bottles you purchase, you are familiar with the taste & what you’d like to enjoy it with! It also encourages our Cellar Club Members to spread their vino-wings, explore and stretch a little and taste wines that perhaps they would pass on the shelf and never know about.
